Spoon University wanted to create a new kind of career fair experience.

Power Hour is a networking event designed for the new generation of young professionals who value building authentic relationships and expanding their networks to open the door for job opportunities today and tomorrow. Meet with top brands and people in the food industry, get your foot in the door, and leave boring, traditional job fairs in the past.

For visual branding, I wanted to keep the same bold, expressive personality of Spoon University, but inject a sense of professionalism and self-empowerment. Cue the bold, unapologetic blue, illustration system of interactive hands, and casual dress code to encourage authentic conversation for all.

Hand imagery is a core visual element in Spoon University’s video recipe content. To keep Power Hour on brand, I developed a set of hand icons interacting in a fun manner.

These icons were incorporated as spot illustrations and expanded into patterns, branding the event space through pillar wraps, banners, window clings, step-and-repeats, floor decals, blank business cards (for attendees to fill out and use to network) and general wayfinding.
